Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do I need a psychologist?

It depends a lot on how you answer the following question:

Is my problem, my condition, impacting my relationships, my career, my health, my happiness?

If the answer is "yes," you would probably do well to see a psychologist.

2. What happens in the first session?

The initial appointment involves a detailed assessment to understand you and your particular situation, current problems, your background, your strengths, and your resources in order to develop an appropriate treatment plan. My goal is to help you feel comfortable and safe in talking about your concerns openly.

The assessment typically ranges from one to two sessions. At the end of the consultation, I will provide you with my initial impressions and recommendations.

3. What is the difference between a psychologist and a psychotherapist?

The psychologist, after the Master's degree, has successfully passed the state examination for professional qualification.
